Dozens of youth aged 14-18 and adult chaperones participated in a New Year's Eve party at the local bowling alley. The event lasted from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m. The partygoers watched the countdown to the New Year live from Times Square in New York (10 p.m. Utah time), then cheered again when the New Year arrived here two hours later. Shortly after midnight, a hearty breakfast of eggs, pancakes, and bacon was served to those in attendance.

London got a new fishing pole for Christmas, so she went fishing at Ken's Lake this past Saturday afternoon with her sister River and her dad Jeff. They didn't catch any trout, but they had a fun time. The lake was partially frozen, but they were able to cast out into the water.

Penny made London a quilt for her bed and gave it to her as a Christmas present. The quilt has a colorful sunflower pattern and color scheme, and took many hours of stitching and sewing. Penny finished the project late on Christmas Eve, just in time to wrap it and place it under the tree.
