Action figure dolls span a wide range of interests these days. Jeff spotted these two incongruous dolls side-by-side on a drug store shelf recently. At left is the likeness of a teenage rock musician from the California-based group "Aly & AJ," who are now known as 78violet. At right is a "Jesus" action figure doll, which speaks Biblical scriptures when a button is pressed.

Jeff took a picture of this "No Trespassing" sign south of Panguitch last weekend, and used Photoshop to apply a sepia tone and other effects to the image.

More than 100 people attended last Saturday's Owens Reunion at Panguitch Lake. Early Panguitch settler William T. Owens, Sr. (1854-1941) had three wives and more than 20 children. Jeff is one of his oldest great-great-grandchildren. One highlight of the annual event is the footraces to determine the winner of the "Fastest Owens Alive" trophy (bottom photo).
